APEDA Registration

What exactly is APEDA?

APEDA stands for Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority. To develop and promote exports of scheduled products, the government created this organization.

What does APEDA RCMC Registration entail?

  • RCMC stands for Registration Cum Membership Certificate. It is a membership certificate issued by the Export Promotional Councils (EPCs) or Commodity Boards of India.
  • The application for registration under APEDA must be made within one month of the date of the export undertaking.
  • A person can be registered as either a vendor or a manufacturing exporter.

 

List of Products given under the APEDA Act

It is the responsibility of APEDA to promote and develop export activities for the products listed below, which are classified as Scheduled Products under the APEDA Act:

  • Meat and meat-related goods
  • Fruits and vegetables, as well as their byproducts
  • Poultry and poultry-related goods
  • Dairy goods
  • Products containing honey, jaggery, or sugar
  • Confectionery, cookies, and bakery items
  • Cocoa and its derivatives, including all types of chocolate.
  • Walnuts, peanuts, and groundnuts
  • Cereals and cereal goods
  • Pickles, chutneys, papads
  • Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Guar gum
  • Floriculture and related products
  • In addition to these items, one of the APEDA’s major responsibilities is to monitor sugar imports.

  • Additionally, exporters with RCMC Registration under APEDA Registration can obtain guidelines for improving the packaging and marketing of the Scheduled Products that are to be exported.
  • APEDA-registered exporters may also attend APEDA-sponsored training courses on a variety of businesses linked to Scheduled Products.
  • The exporter’s name may be included as an exporter on the APEDA website’s Exporters Directory.
  • Being an exporter also allows you to obtain brand awareness by advertising and marketing your products with APEDA registration.
  • APEDA registration allows you to take advantage of different financial support programs.

 

APEDA Registration Procedure

Step 1: Firstly, visit the APEDA official website and register.

Step 2: After registering, fill out all the required information.

Step 3: An OTP will be sent to your registered email address and phone number.

Step 4: Once the verification is complete, prepare the application form by filling out all necessary details and attaching the appropriate papers.

Step 5: Make the payment using the approved payment method.

Step 6: Following successful payment of the fees, an APEDA Application Number will be produced, which has to be saved for future references.

Step 7: The approval of the RCMC is done by APEDA Officials, which is the last step in the APEDA Registration procedure.

Step 8: The APEDA RCMC Certificate can be accessed through the APEDA site after approval of your application form.

 

Documents Required for APEDA RCMC Registration

  • A completed and signed application form
  • IE code issued by D.G.F.T
  • A bank certificate that has been duly signed
  • Bank account statement from the last two months
  • The Check from the Company’s Bank Account has been canceled.
  • If registering as a Manufacturer Exporter, a self-attested copy of the firm registration must be provided, as well as certificates from appropriate certification bodies for the following items.

Validity of APEDA RCMC Registration

  • It is valid for 5 years. After that period of time, it has to be renewed.
  • It is required for exporters engaging in the export of scheduled items to have an APEDA registration. APEDA members can take part in a variety of training programs offered by APEDA on a variety of planned goods in a variety of industries, as well as how to enhance their business.
